Dr. Parameshwar P. Iyer, Principal Research Scientist, Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Science. His Education record is as follows: B.Tech. (Hons.) from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur India; M.S in Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana – Champaign, USA; Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from the University of California, Davis, USA.

Prof. Iyer’s Teaching and Research interests include: Project Management; Technology Management and Entrepreneurship; Business Systems Analysis; and Knowledge Management.

He has written books/ chapter in a book on Engineering Project Management with Case Studies; Project Evaluation and Implementation; and Strategic Management (all published by Vikas Publishing, New Delhi); and One Chapter on Bio -  diesel Energy Systems and Technology, in a Book on Capacity Building for Sustainable Development published by the Third World Academy of Sciences, Trieste, Italy.

Dr Iyer also has published and presented over 48 papers in international and national journals and conferences. Prof. Iyer is the recipient of several awards including the Silver Medal for General Proficiency from IIT Kharagpur; Harry G. and Harriett A. Wright Fellow of the University of Illinois; and Escorts – ISAE Medal. Dr. Iyer has offered Management Development Programs and Consultancy Services in Project Management and Strategic Management to over a dozen corporates, including TCS, ITI, WIPRO, 3SE, Compsoft, Liqiwd Krystal, NTPC, HKADB, Tata Motors, Leo Infotech, and the University of Mauritius.

Dr. Iyer has trained over 2500 professional engineers and managers in the area of Project Management. He has been on the Board of Directors of three Information Technology Companies; and on the Governing Council of Engineering and Management Institutes. Dr. Iyer has been elected as an Honorary Life Member of the Global Institute of Flexible Systems Management (GIFT); he is also a Life Member of the Systems Society of India (SSI) and the Institution of Engineers (India).
