Lawrence Tan, Director of Human Resources, Public Utilities Board (PUB) Singapore. 

Mr Tan started as a civil engineer in PUB, managing various different engineering portfolios, ranging from reservoir and catchment operations, water master planning, strategic planning and organisational development to his current appointment in human resources.   Mr Tan’s current responsibilities involve workforce planning, talent management, staff development, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee well-being and industrial relations. 

He is currently a Senior Assessor with SPRING Singapore for the Singapore Quality Awards.  He has been awarded the May Day Medal of Commendation Award, in recognition for forging strong labour-management relations.  

Mr Tan holds a degree in Civil Engineering (Hons) from National University of Singapore (NUS), a Diploma in Human Capital Management, WDA as well as a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Temple University, USA.
